Old School Texaco Advertising, Less Is Sometimes More.

By gone is the era of the heavy metal advertising signage that used to riddle full service gas stations all over the country.

Now signage like this Texaco sign can be found in antique shops, on the sides of old weathered barns or some of my favorite roadhouse eateries such as Chicken Oil in Bryan, Texas, the location where I took this photo.

History Channel's "American Pickers" has recently piqued my interest in these advertising relics as a reminder of a time of some of the cleanest creative and brand recognition. Keep an eye out for these reminders that sometimes, especially with brand recognition, less is more. Sent from Omarr's iPhone
