How I Bought My iPhone 4 for $4 Bucks. Seriously.

...Or Good Things Happen To Those Who Wait.

I love my gadgets as much as the next guy. If I said that I didn't want to be second in line at my local Apple Store to pick up my pre-ordered iPhone 4 in July, I'd be lying. (I say second in line because being the first guy in line might have been sad.) Truth be told, I actually went to the AT&T Store on the designated early sign up day to pre-order. I poked around, played with all the iPhone 4 display models, you know like when you visit the pet store to play with the new puppies. After about an hour, I walked out. Just couldn't do it. In the end, I just couldn't drop the $299 bucks. But since yesterday I purchased the latest technology game changer for under $5 out of pocket, I'm glad I waited a few months. Here is how I budgeted to do it...

I needed cable. So I shopped around and found a hell of deal through, coincidentally, AT&T on signing up for AT&T U-Verse. Check out the link for the $300 bucks back offer. I talked my way into getting a reduced monthly rate, extra channels, the second to fastest internet, and $300 rebate for signing up. Pretty sweet deal. Three weeks later the Visa Debit cards came in the mail and I was in line for the iPhone and just in time for the update that everyone has been waiting for that fixed all kinds of "released too early" bugs.

Best part of it all, I also had a Best Buy rebate from a previous purchase that paid for the awesome, indestructible Otter Box case I have been wanting since my first iPhone 3 years ago. So there you go, brand new iPhone 4 and the best case on the market for $4 bucks. Took some time, but more than worth the wait.
